Quick Overview
The Stöckli Laser AX is a versatile piste ski with all-mountain characteristics. The lightweight core is combined with a wider platform and a rocker in the tip. This is a ski that is perfect for changing conditions on the slopes and just as ready for off-piste excursions. Like any Stöckli Laser ski, the AX is great for skiing at speed but also for relaxed cruising.
Details
Camber
The ski has a traditional pre-tensioning over almost its entire length. This shape makes it easy to build up pressure in the turns, creating good edge grip. Nowadays, nearly all Camber skis also have some sort of rocker in the tip to improve turn initiation.
Turtle Shell
The cutting of the Titanal layer in the core affects the ski characteristics. At a slower pace, the ski is less torsionally stiff and therefore easier to ski. At speed, the two parts of the plate interlock and give the ski the grip, torsion and stability of the entire Titanal layer again.
